TV and film star Adam Sandler is shopping for rings for sweetheart-model Jacqueline "Jackie" Titone, and friends say the couple will soon announce their engagement.

"Adam has moved Jackie into his L.A. home, and the two have entered into a trial marriage!" revealed a friend.

The star of "The Wedding Singer" and "The Waterboy" first spotted Jackie at a party in L.A. last year and got her phone number from a friend.

The two started dating - and soon they were inseparable!

"Adam is the sweetest, funniest man I ever met in my life," the 24-year-old aspiring actress told a pal.

Although Jackie has been working hard on her modeling and acting career, "her total devotion has been to Adam," disclosed an insider. "They're head over heels in love."

On January 6, Jackie moved lock, stock and makeup kit into Adam's L.A. home.

"I never saw her look so happy," the friend said. "They both looked like they were walking on clouds. We're expecting to hear of an engagement announcement any time now."

When an ENQUIRER reporter spoke to Adam's father at his Fort Lauderdale, Fla., condo and offered a congratulatory gift of a beautiful plant, Stanley Sandler showed flashes of his son's humor.

"I have no comment," he said. "But I'll take the plant."

The friend concluded: "At 32, Adam has matured and is ready to settle down.

And contrary to widely published rumor, Sandler's publicist told E! Online Tuesday her client is not engaged to model Jackie Titone.
